After downloading the installer, the following steps are necessary:
- Stop all clock:it services that are currently running. This includes at least the halion Apservice and, depending on the environment, also the halion Changeservice and/or the clockit Jobserver.
- Close the application itself if it is still open.
- Start the installer and follow the instructions. The login details for the SQL server used to install clock:it are required for the installation.
- In addition to updating clock:it, the installer also updates the database independently.
- After completing the installer, start the application and check the log for any errors that occurred during or after the update.
- Restart all previously stopped services. If ChangeService was active, it must be started before all other services.
After starting the app service, any time entries made at the terminals during the update may be transferred retrospectively, after which the terminals will return to online mode.
