Yes, automatic break deduction is possible and is freely configurable. However, it should be noted that automatic break deduction only works if the employee does not book their breaks themselves and only clocks in in the morning and clocks out in the evening.
An additional attribute called "Break model" of the type "Selection list" can be created in Personio for the employee data.
The break models are defined as selection options as follows:{After x hours (specified in minutes)};{x minutes break}|{After x hours (specified in minutes)};{x minutes break}An example of this would be:
- For production employees after 6 hours 30 minutes a deduction of 30 minutes break and after 9 hours 45 minutes results in the following notation:
- 390;30|540;45
- For truck drivers after 4 hours always 45 minutes
- 240;45
After the attribute has been created and released in the API access data for halion clock:it, we can assign this attribute on the part of halion clock:it.
The HR department can then use the new attribute to set which employee receives which break model and if any at all. If a break model is stored, we apply it, otherwise everything runs as usual.
It is important to note here that as soon as the employee interrupts their working time independently and explicitly books the break, no automatic break deduction is carried out for this day.
The attribute to be used can be selected and assigned directly in the settings:
